The name Moulveri comes from a species of rare scented flowers, something between jasmine and magnolia. It came here from Egypt, acclimatizing quickly to the climatological conditions, and elegantly adorning the gardens and balconies of our then small town.
A favourite of the locals for its delicate scent, as it doesn’t compete with food aromas, it became a decorative feature on all the official tables at luncheons and dinners held here over the last century.
